I enjoy a simple life with great family and friends in the town of Lilesville in Anson County. My husband John and I have enjoyed 25-plus years and we were blessed with four sons who are grown and gone! (Smile.)  I am a community and political activist and enjoy a really great conversation on politics. Most of my spare time is spent on church activities, community volunteerism, or some political activity. Additionally, I love to read!

 

Education has been my career path since 1999 and prior to that I was in business.

EDUCATION

·         Masters in Education Administration and Supervision, University of Phoenix,; Licensure in Teaching – Business Education, University of Fayetteville State, B.S. in Business and Computer Information Systems, Wingate University, and an A.A.S. Degree in Business Computer Programming from South Piedmont Community College, completed NC Employment Security Commission Management Training Program, and other several leadership and management training programs, and have taken Bible classes at Bible Training Institute, Cleveland, TN.

 

·         Employed Anson County School System in the Business and Technology Program at Anson Challenge Academy, seven years

o        Anson Challenge Academy “Teacher of the Year (1999), and 2003-2004 “Teacher of the Year.”

o        Formerly employed NC Employment Security Commission, JTPA, WIA, and Employer Relations in Anson and Mecklenburg County

o        Sewing Machine Operator 11 years, Anson County
